SIGGRAPH 2011 Tech. Papers Video Preview

SIGGRAPH just keeps getting more and more - well, uhmmm - heart-pumping and exciting! As much as I would like to attend this year, I'll probably pass for now and will dream of the day until I'd be able to go there.

Anyhow, for some awesomeness delight, you can check the video below.

Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us

Here's a video I recently came across while doing on a link-clicking mania.  It shows what motivates us as individuals and workers.  I'll take some of your time and have you watch this, and don't miss a thing he says.

Some of you open source advocates and Blender fans out there might relate to this pretty well.

By the way, the talk is from Dan Pink's talk at the RSA.

PacktPub Blender 2.5 Books Goodness

Just recently, Packt Publishing - the same publishing company that hosts majority of my tutorials - has released two great Blender books, namely; Blender 2.5 Character Animation Cookbook by Virgilio Vasconcelos (check the promotional video here http://vimeo.com/virgilio/blender-animation-cookbook) and Blender 2.5 HOTSHOT by John E. HerreƱo.

Below are the preview links to these books (click on the images to proceed):

My reviews on the following books will come soon.  :)

Behind - Vancouver Film School

While looking for something to keep me motivated, I came across Vancouver Film School's short titled "Behind", created by VFS student Ga Young Back.  It clearly shows how a great plot and story can move emotions and influence the entirety of a film.  This really made my day. ^_^

Have fun!
